    Getting Started & Prompting Essentials

    • Setting up Claude on web, desktop and mobile; choosing the right model for the task
    • Anatomy of a strong prompt: context, task, constraints and output format
    • Iterating in conversation: refining, redirecting and editing earlier messages
    • Working with attachments: PDFs, images, spreadsheets and screenshots
    • Web search and research for current, cited answers

    Hands-onTurn a weak one-line prompt into a structured prompt, compare the outputs side by side, and start a personal prompt library.

    • Projects: custom instructions and knowledge files for repeatable work
    • Memory and past chats: what Claude remembers and how to control it
    • Connectors: Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Canva and other everyday apps
    • Skills: using built-in skills and adding your team's own

    Hands-onBuild a "Brand Assistant" project loaded with a company profile, then draft three on-brand emails and a social post from it.

    • Creating editable docs, reports and proposals; exporting to Word and PDF
    • Building slide decks from an outline or a source document
    • Spreadsheets with live formulas; cleaning and analysing CSV and Excel data
    • Charts and dashboards from raw data
    • Reviewing existing files: summarise, rewrite and compare versions

    Hands-onUpload a raw sales dataset, produce a KPI dashboard, then turn the findings into a six-slide management deck.

    • Design language in prompts: layout, hierarchy, colour and typography
    • Creating a design system: brand colours, type scale and components
    • Posters, flyers, social media creatives and landing pages
    • App screens and UI mockups; iterating with visual feedback
    • Exporting to PDF and PNG; finishing in Canva

    Hands-onCreate a brand kit for a fictional cafe, then design its launch poster, an Instagram post and a one-page landing page.
